From pregnancy through your baby’s first few months, our maternity and nursing clothes let you keep the same wardrobe: maternity jeans that grow with your belly, dresses, T-shirts, and sweaters with two side zippers for discreet nursing. They’re available in sizes S through XL.
What are maternity and nursing clothes?
These garments are designed for both stages: pregnancy, when your belly starts to grow, andbreastfeeding, when you need to be able to breastfeed easily. Buying them as soon as you become pregnant allows you to wear them for longer.
In this collection, the tops and dresses have a zipper on each side, below the bust. The maternity jeans have two side elastic bands that stretch as your belly grows.
What's in the collection?
For tops: Breastfeeding t-shirts solid-color, printed, or embroidered tops (from €33 to €44), knit sweaters and sweatshirts (from €56 to €81), and tank tops (€37 to €38). For complete outfits: Breastfeeding dresses from €57 to €86.
For bottoms: our maternity jeans, available in raw denim or gray with side elastic (€57), or in raw denim or black with adjustable buttons (€75).
What should you wear during pregnancy?
Maternity jeans are a wardrobe staple: their side elastic panels conform to your belly without constricting it. Our INDIA dresses, with spaghetti straps, and our GABY dresses, made of " knit," are designed to be worn during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
Many loose-fitting T-shirts and sweatshirts can also be worn during pregnancy. If your belly is already quite rounded, check the length on the product page or go up a size.
How do nursing openings work?
Unzip the side of the garment on the side where you're breastfeeding: your baby has direct access to the breast, while the rest of the garment covers your stomach and back. Once zipped back up, the zipper blends into the side seam.
With two zippers, you can switch between breasts without having to change your clothes, and you can open both at the same time to use a double breast pump.
Why buy them while you're pregnant?
Maternity clothing that can also be used for breastfeeding is worn for many months: before the baby is born, and then throughout the breastfeeding period. This way, you avoid having to buy two separate wardrobes.
It also gives you peace of mind: at the hospital and during the first few weeks, your nursing clothes are already ready, washed, and put away in the closet.
What should you pack in your hospital bag?
Pack two or three Breastfeeding t-shirts comfortable outfits for your stay, a sweatshirt or cardigan for walking back and forth down the hall, and an outfit for going out, such as a Breastfeeding dress or a T-shirt with your maternity jeans.
Your belly doesn't go away right away after giving birth, so maternity jeans are still the best option for going home.
What kind of underwear should you wear with it?
During pregnancy, a non-underwire bra and maternity panties that sit below the belly are the most comfortable. Once your pregnancy is over, you can switch to a nursing bra or nursing top.
Choose nursing tops that open with one hand: you unzip the top and then open the nursing flap, and your baby can nurse. A regular, flexible bra works too, and some moms prefer not to wear one at all.
How do I choose the right size?
For nursing tops, generally choose your usual size: the zippers should sit below the bust. Our tank tops run small: choose one size larger.
Our elastic-waist jeans run large: choose one size smaller. Some dresses, such as the GEORGIA, also run differently. Always read the sizing advice listed on the product page.
How do you care for your clothes?
Wash them inside out at a maximum of 30 °C, with the zippers closed. Do not iron them or use a garment steamer before the first wash.
Avoid using the dryer, especially for " knit " and jeans, as the elastic in these items can wear out. Iron on a low heat setting, with the garment turned inside out, and never iron over embroidery. Always follow the care label instructions.
How long does delivery take?
Our non-customized clothing is shipped within 48 business hours. Customized embroidered items are shipped within approximately 7 business days. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number.
What is the return policy?
You have 14 days after receipt to request a refund for an item that does not meet your expectations; exchanges are not permitted. Personalized items with embroidery cannot be returned or refunded. Please contact our customer service team in advance at bonjour@23maiparis.com.
