5 phrases to repeat to yourself when you're feeling doubtful (and exhausted)
A breath of fresh air for moms weathering the storm.
Becoming a mother is wonderful. But it's also exhausting, confusing, and sometimes overwhelming. There are those broken nights, those cries you don't understand, that body you no longer recognize. There's that invisible pressure to "measure up" even when your heart is in pieces and the dark circles under your eyes are well established.
So in those moments of doubt, when you feel like you're faltering, here are five phrases to help you through, like little mantras to keep close to you. To breathe. To relax. To remind you that you are not alone.

1. “I do my best, and that's enough.”
Your baby doesn't need a perfect mom.
He needs you, here, now, with your current strengths.
And your best today is enough. Always. Even if it's less than yesterday.
Repeat while looking at yourself in the mirror, even with your hair all messy.
2. “I am learning. Every day, a little more.”
Motherhood cannot be improvised.
We fumble, we make mistakes, we start over. It's normal. It's human.
And every mistake, every tear, every hesitation is a lesson in love in the making.
You are not expected to instinctively "know" how to do everything.
You are learning. And that is already wonderful.
3. “This phase will not last forever.”
Sleepless nights, breastfeeding pains, colic, doubts...
Everything passes. I promise. Even if, at the time, everything seems frozen in time.

Keep in mind that you are not doomed to this fatigue forever.
And that soon, without even realizing it, you will smile when you think back on it.

4. “I deserve to be taken care of too.”
You give everything. And that's beautiful.
But an exhausted mom can't carry everything alone.
Ask for help.
Take 10 minutes for yourself.
Treat yourself to a nursing wear in which you feel beautiful and comfortable.
Your well-being is not optional. It is a cornerstone of your motherhood.

5. “I am a good mother, even on days when I doubt myself.”
You doubt because you care.
You doubt because you love.
You doubt... therefore you are already a good mother.
These moments of vulnerability do not define you: they humanize you.
And your child is not waiting for a superwoman. They are just waiting for you, in all your truth.

These phrases are there to remind you of the essential: you are already enough.
And even in the storm, there is light sometimes hidden in a baby's gaze, a burst of laughter, an unexpected hug.
