Article: What to pack in your hospital bag for childbirth?

What should you pack in your hospital bag for the birth?

The ultimate checklist for a prepared and stylish mom

The big day is approaching, and one of the best ways to reduce stress before giving birth is to pack your hospital bag. Knowing that you have everything you need will give you peace of mind and confidence, allowing you to focus on what matters most: welcoming your baby with love.

At 23 Mai Paris, we know how special this moment is, and we want to help you prepare with the essentials, combining comfort and style.

When should you pack your bag?

Most moms pack their bags between the 34th and 36th week of pregnancy. If you like to plan ahead, you can start as early as the 32nd week. Ideally, you should leave your bag near the door or in the car, just in case you go into labor earlier than expected.

Essential list for your hospital bag

1. Important documents

  • Identity card or official document

  • Health record or prenatal care record

  • Recent test results (ultrasounds, analyses)

  • Health insurance card if necessary

Tip: Keep all these documents in a clear folder so that you can easily hand them in at reception.

  • Maternity jeans (1-2): choose soft fabrics that will stretch to accommodate your growing belly.

  •  Underwear and nursing bras (2-3): wire-free and with clips for easy access to the breast.
