Adjustable black maternity jeans
Maternity jeans should be so comfortable you forget you're wearing them, from morning to night. Our comfortable maternity jeans replace the stiff waistband with two side elastic bands that conform to your belly, and some styles include button adjustments. They're available in raw denim, gray, and black, in sizes S through XL, ranging from €57 to €75.
What makes our maternity jeans so comfortable?
It's all about the fit. Instead of a fixed waistband that presses against your belly, our jeans have two elastic bands on the sides. They stretch as your belly grows, so you can sit, walk, or bend over without feeling any pressure.
Viewed from the front, these jeans retain the look of a classic style, without a wide waistband that rides up onto the stomach. You gain comfort without sacrificing a clean silhouette.
Which styles are included in the collection?
Two styles with side elastic bands for €57: the raw-wash maternity jeans, in a timeless dark blue, and the gray maternity jeans, in a softer shade. These are the easiest to wear: no adjustments needed—they adapt to your body on their own.
Two adjustable styles for €75: the adjustable raw-denim maternity jeans and the adjustable black maternity jeans. In addition to the elastic bands, they feature a button-adjustment system to customize the waist size down to the millimeter.
Elastic or adjustable: which is more comfortable?
If you like to slip on a pair of jeans without thinking twice, the elastic-waist style is perfect for you: it naturally conforms to your belly, month after month, without any fuss.
If your belly is growing quickly, or if you want to keep wearing the same pair of jeans after giving birth, the adjustable style is more versatile. The buttons let you loosen the fit as your belly grows, and then tighten it as it shrinks.
How do you choose the right size for optimal comfort?
Our elastic-waist jeans (raw and gray) run large: choose one size smaller than your usual size. Jeans that are too big will slip down and quickly become uncomfortable, whereas the elastic waistband provides enough support for your stomach.
Key Information: Andy is 1.60 m tall, 8 months pregnant, and wears a size S; Léo is 1.83 m tall, 4 months pregnant, and also wears a size S. If you have any questions, please contact us before placing your order—we’ll help you choose the right size.
Is it still comfortable during the later stages of pregnancy?
Yes. The side elastic bands continue to stretch during the third trimester, when the belly is at its largest. In fact, our model Andy is wearing these jeans at 8 months pregnant.
For the past few weeks, the adjustable style has provided extra room thanks to its buttons. You can also choose a long, loose-fitting top that covers your waist and doesn't squeeze your stomach.
What tops should you wear with them for even more comfort?
A loose-fitting T-shirt, a flowing blouse, or a long sweater covers the elastic bands and keeps your stomach warm. In winter, add a thick cardigan or a long coat; in summer, a light T-shirt and ballet flats are enough.
When it comes to shoes, opt for sneakers or flat-heeled ankle boots to relieve back pain. To complete your outfits, check out our maternity sweaters and our maternity and nursing T-shirts.
At what point in the pregnancy should you start wearing it?
Generally, between the 12th and 16th week, when your usual jeans start to feel tight. Some women need them sooner, especially if they’re experiencing bloating or are pregnant with multiples.
The right thing to do: As soon as you have to unbutton your jeans while sitting down, it's time to switch to maternity jeans.
Can you wear it after giving birth?
Yes. After giving birth, it takes several weeks for the abdomen to return to its normal shape, and a rigid waistband is often uncomfortable. The elastic side panels remain comfortable throughout this entire period.
Adjustable styles are best for the postpartum period: simply tighten the buttons as the weeks go by. If you're breastfeeding, pair them with our nursing tops that have side zippers.
What kind of underwear should you wear with it?
Maternity panties that sit below the belly prevent any pressure. High-waisted panties, which cover the belly, are also very comfortable thanks to their elastic waistband.
Choose cotton, which allows your skin to breathe, and pick what feels best for you.
How can you care for your jeans so they stay comfortable?
Wash it before wearing it for the first time, then machine wash it at a maximum temperature of 30 °C, turned inside out to protect the color and fibers.
Avoid using a dryer andbleach: they damage the elastic, causing it to lose its flexibility. Air-dry it and, if necessary, iron it on the reverse side at a low temperature. Always follow the care label instructions.
